    A day of idleness in consequence of our Lient being made officer of the day, no one being able to drill us. 2 of the boys went out on a pass. Have no yet returned. We fear they have deserted. An oath, an oath we have in heaven to support the constitution of the State and General government. When will men realize the responsibility of an oath.
