Our forces have been all day crossing Flat Creek. Evening approaches and not all over. The creek is a clear stream, water cold. We are camped near a deserted village, houses old and rotting down. Old mill in the stream, the high water at some time having broke around it. Citizens coming in and forming the Mo State forces.
Mrs. Tyrell having been on a visit to her son returned to Cassville to assist in nursing the wounded of Pea Ridge Battle.
