    Young Granger died at 3 this morning. Poor fellow. Death has relieved him of the pangs of violent disease. Buried at sunset. His ashes rest with a score of others who preceded him to the spirit world. 

    The rain today dispersed our audience in the middle of the sermon. 

    Text How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation. 

    Wrote letter home.
