    Religious services by the brigade, preaching by Rev Chap Griswold. The expedition under Col Vandever has returned. Enemy discovered in force at Cotton Plant. A portion of the expedition had a skirmish yesterday with what results not yet known. Read letter from Elder John Gould, wrote to A.D. & G.M.S. also home.
